Poor Posture

Poor posture affects the majority of people in today’s society. Typically it is the result of performing the same task day in and day out. Unfortunately, poor posture is the hidden source of a lot of the pain and discomfort we see on a daily basis. Low back pain, neck, and shoulder pain are just a few symptoms resulting from poor posture. Often if someone makes efforts at improving their posture, their symptoms will decrease or resolve completely.

Unfortunately, poor posture and headaches often go hand in hand. Poor body posture places an excessive amount of stress on just a few very small muscles at the base of the skull, which in turn compress the nerves that innervate the muscles of the cranium and result in chronic headaches.

Treatment for poor posture consists of specific chiropractic adjustments, myofascial release technique, mechanical traction, and rehabilitation exercises.
